Medical School Debt Averages $180K

The Journal of the American Medical Association reports that the average debt for medical school graduates has increase over the last six years by slightly more than 10 percent.  In 2010, the average debt carry forward was $161,739.  In 2016, that number has increased to $179,000.

More medical students are graduating debt-free than in years past.  That same six year period saw an increase in the percentage of debt-free graduates of 67 percent.
