It’s Official – Lt. Governor is in the Race

Lt. Governor Donna Lynne has made it official, she will be entering the race for Governor of Colorado in 2018.   The Democratic Gubernatorial field currently boasts four prominent challengers:  Noel Ginsburg, Chairman & CEO, Intertech Plastics,  former State Senator Mike Johnston (NE Denver), former State Treasurer Cary Kennedy, and U.S. Rep. Jared Polis.

In May 2016, Lynne was unanimously selected by the Colorado Senate to replace then Lt. Gov. Joe Garcia who was leaving the post having been selected president of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education headquartered in Boulder.  Prior to taking on the role of Lt. Governor and chief operating officer for the state, Lynne served as  executive vice president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and as group president responsible for Colorado, the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii regions.
